Sadguru (Sanskrit: सदगुरू) (or satguru), means a [[Spiritual Master]] or [[Avatar]]. Sadguru is distinguished from other forms of mastery (such as musical mastery, parental mastery, engineering mastery, and so on) by the Masters [[Devotion]] to, and mastery of, [[Consciousness]].

The satguru is a title given to an individual who knows [[Consciousness]] and whose stated life's purpose is to guide individuals towards re-[[Connection]] with said [[Consciousness]]. The following poem by [[Kabir]]'s describes Sadguru.

Firm as the thunderbolt, the seat of the seeker is established above the void.
