Nuclear Reaction occurs when the [[Orbital Integrity]] of an atomic nuclei is breached and reaction occurs that alters the [[Orbital Configuration]] of an atom.

Orbital Integrity may be breached either by releasing energy from the [[Nucleas]] through a process of [[Nuclear Decay]] or by using an outside source to add energy to the system. Outside energy may arrive from natural sources (e.g. [[Cosmic Rays]]) or it may be arrive as the result of human sources (such as particle colliders, atomic waste etc.).
