A distorted throat chakra will provide for sarcastic, hurtful, or oppressive forms of vocalization and expression. A distorted third eye chakra will provide apprehension of the Truth that is distorted, self-serving, or activated in the service of suppression.

Chakras are distorted in the same way that chakras are blocked, either through violent suppression leading to twisted expression, or erroneous ideation leading to self-suppression. For example, the energies of the heart chakra are distorted whenever a child is sexually abused. When a child is abused by a family member or other trusted individual (e.g. uncle, priest, etc.), they subsequently learn not only that love=abuse, but that that parental or familial love does not protect them but rather exposes them and hurts them. The distortion may manifest years later in distorted relationships patterns and intergenerational abuse patterns.
