When we believe that God is an abusive and punishing patriarch, [[Connection]] with [[Consciousness]] will invoke images and ideas of judgment, punishment, and violence and, out of anxiety, fear, and panic, we will shut down the nascent Connection. Other disconnecting archetypes include the idea that Satan exists solely to manipulate and confuse, the idea that we (and by "we" I mean the human race) are evolving, violent, apes, and tne notion that we are unworthy rejects from some ancient [[Garden of Eden]], unworthy of being in the presence of God (i.e. higher Consciousness).
