Perception Sanitation

'Perception Sanitation is a process of altering our perception of reality to serve specific special interests.

Perception Sanitation is an alteration of individual or collective perception designed to obscure ugly realities (Sharp, 2009).

Perception sanitation occurs when you construct a pretty picture of reality even when the reality is an ugly place.

For example, when municipal governments clear the homeless from the street so the good people don’t have to see the suffering, this is perception sanitation.
