The Water Glass Metaphor is an ideal representation of the process of spiritual awakening/connection, and a perfect way to explain to children and adults the goal of human [[Development]] which is the expansion/[[Descent of Consciousness]] into the body.

At conception, a drop of Consciousness is poured into the physical container. The container is gradually filled throughout pregnancy until sufficient Consciousness can be contained in the body to allow for birth. At birth, the water glass is partially filled, but gradually, as the child matures into adulthood, the glass is filled. How high the glass is filled depends in large measure on a non-toxic process, and proper on ongoing satisfaction of the [[Seven Essential Needs].

Toxic/violent environments (i.e. [[Toxic Socialization]] diminish the capacity of the physical unit to contain/connect with Consciousness.

The highest levels of Consciousness can only be attained when social, political, economic, and psychological conditions support that attainment. Currently, conditions on this earth DO NOT support high levels of Consciousness in the body.

Archetypes are typically considered sacred and special. When accepted as such, archetypes, a) influence how we see and think about the world, b) influence how we see and think about ourselves, and c) influence our actions and reactions in the world.

Archetypes are the basic conceptual "statements" used to construct a planet's [[Creation Template]].

Archetypes do not operate in isolation and often "work together" in [[Archetype Constellation|constellations]].

Archetypes may be broken down into two categories: [[Old Energy Archetypes]] and [[New Energy Archetypes]]

Archetypes can be corrupted and exploited for venal purposes.

Archetypes can be presented visually, linguistically, and musically.

Any idea can function as an archetype so long as the idea is accepted into consciousness as significant, and answers some sort of existential [[Big Question]]. Ideas that are accepted as answers become "sacred." Once an archetype is accepted into an individual's archetype set, it exerts an influence on cognition and behaviour. For example, the acceptance of "good/evil"/shadow archetypes cause many people to spend billions on Star Wars movies and related paraphernalia.

Many people have a “God” archetype that provides them with an answer to the question “What is God?” (e.g., God is a bearded patriarch, God is pure Consciousness, God is a tool of the ruling class, God doesn’t exist). As another example, Jung identified a Christian-like “shadow” archetype. The shadow archetype provides answers to questions of human nature. According to the Jung’s shadow archetype (and the many Christian-like derivatives, like for example Star Wars), we are beings of “shadow” and “light,” locked in a cosmic war of domination

Carl Jung noted suggested that archetypes are "inter-generationally persistent," meaning each new [[Physical Unit|physical unit]] is born with a certain set of meta-level archetypes passed on from the previous generation. This may be partly true. But is it important to be aware that a lot of work goes into inserting archetypes into each new generation by [[Agents of Consciousness]] (Walt Disney, for example). Agents of consciousness are responsible for sowing the archetypal seeds of gender, cosmic struggle, judgment, etc. Archetypes are inserted typically when the individual is young, psychologically defenceless against the imposition, and unable to decide whether they want certain archetypes inserted or not.

It should be noted that more than one archetype is required to condition a planet. We may refer to the collection of archetypes used to control the manifestation of reality as a [[Creation Template]]. We may refer to the sum total of all planetary archetypes as they exist in the consciousness of the planet as the [[Archetypal Fabric]].

Defence mechanisms are generally functional in the short term since they up and direct psychic energy towards defense, however when chronically activated they become highly toxic and can lead to various emotional, psychological, spiritual, and even physical pathologies.

Defence Mechanisms may be broken down into two general categories, [[Physical Defence Mechanisms]] and [[Psychological Defence Mechanisms]]

DMs may be internally directed or externally directed.

Defence mechanisms may be best understood by considering them like software programs coded into the genetic substrate of the Physical Unit. The programs are coded as a result of experience and accessed via associative pathways.

Genetic software generally consists of two elements, 1) eliciting conditions and 2) "winning" responses. Eliciting conditions are any conditions or experiences that the brain of the physical unit perceives of as salient, and which consequently elicit the mechanism, and winning responses are those responses that have lead, in the past, to both short-term and long-term survivability. The "winning" response is the response that allows the transmission of genetic materials to the next generations.

Defence mechanisms are supported by, among other things, the endocrine systems of the body. Activation of survival programming often involves releases of specific chemicals (adrenaline, testosterone, etc.) designed to both prepare for, and encourage, a certain Survival Response (e.g., fight, flight, or submission).

Some defence mechanisms may be rooted in an ancient environment and may no longer be appropriate (or necessary) for modern conditions.

Most, though not all, negative COEX roots are established in the perinatal period. Once established, the COEX Root becomes a magnetic attractor for similar experiences. Negative experiences that are similar in visual, metaphoric, or affective impact will be attracted to the COEX root and will reinforce the root. If reinforcement occurs over a long period of time, the [[COEX System]] that forms may become an active, powerful, and influential psychological structure within the mind of the physical unit. This is beneficial in the case of positive COEX Systems and should be encourages via the provision of proper economic and social supports. Negative COEX Systems which become strong and salient may lead to psychological and even physical dysfunction in the long term.

There can be no guidelines on the identification of COEX Systems or their roots beyond the statement that any significant emotional event may form the basis of a COEX Root. The difficulty in providing guidelines arises as a result of the nature of the COEX System. When a COEX Root is established in the gray matter of the physical unit, the COEX System exists as a barely defined, marginally significant psychological structure. However, subsequent experiences will help to ''define'' and strengthen the system. For example, chemical assaults during the perinatal phase may form a root experience associated with the violation of boundaries, unwilling impositions, or even physical distaste and distress of having powerful chemicals injected the sensitive apparatus of the physical unit. If no other similar assaults are forthcoming, the root may dissipate over time. However subsequent events can reinforce and define the original root. For example, birth into a fundamentalist religious family with a fire and brimstone approach to child rearing may provide fertile ground for reinforcing experiences. The child's exposure to violent punishment, for example, justified by references to hellfire and damnation, may provide additional experiences which, when attracted to the original root, provide psychological nuance to the COEX System. These strengthening and definitional experiences will grow over time and will depend entirely on the individual and idiographic details of the case. In other words, each case is entirely unique. The implications for therapy, and the amount of work involved when attempting to dissolve invoke a COEX Root and dissolve a COEX System, should be apparent.

Defense Mode involves changes in the body's hormonal chemistry that lead to physiological changes in the body, which are subsequently expressed in psychological and emotional changes. Changes may be grouped into short term and long term.

===Antiquated Programming===

Modern societies and modern economic systems theoretically obviate the need for survival mode. Current technologies can provide for the safety and security of all members of the human race. Thus no individual physical unit needs to experience stress or threat. In this context survival mode is an antiquated and irrelevant feature of the physical unit.

Despite being largely antiquated and unnecessary, survival mode remains a feature of the physical unit. This is because mechanisms of natural selection no longer operate and therefore programming cannot be "naturally" selected out. Note, it is possible conscientiously and willfully change survival programming. Such a task should be undertaken only when danger is eliminated, stress is minimized, and survival is no longer an issue.

===Long Term Toxicity===

It should be noted that the survival responses of the physical unit are functional only in the short term. Long term activation of survival mode lowers the [[Consciousness Quotient] ([[CQ]]) of the Physical Unit, causes difficult to repair changes to brain chemistry, and leads to degradation of the body's physical systems.

Survival Mode roots psychopathology. Pathological responses, toxic behavioral patterns, the presence of [[Defense Mechanisms]], etc. is predicated on the activation of Survival Mode. Reducing pathological and toxic behavioural patterns is thus predicated on deactivation of survival mode.

Survival Mode may be contrasted with [[Deficit Mode]] and [[Performance Mode]].

Boundaries may be visualized with any material (e.g. bricks) or energy (e.g. white light). To build a boundary, visualize an energy wall, a stone wall, or some other sort of fortification around your body, your house, and all those people and things that you wish to help protect. The boundary visualization is most effective when performed in the morning when you wake up, in the evening before you go to bed, and repeated multiple times throughout your day.

When visualizing a boundary, do not make it impenetrable to all things. Visualize light energy bolts penetrating and entering, but see slings, arrows, and the dark and icky bolts of the old energy world bouncing off and easily repelled. Visualize many times a day, when you wake and before you go to sleep. The world remains a toxic place. Never forget to protect yourself. Always build and reinforce the boundary.

Be aware that the use of boundary visualizations will, at present time, likely reduce your social experience as all those influences that are any kind of a threat are subtly removed from your personal reality. This is a good thing since it removes negativity, violence, and other albatrosses of spiritual awakening and empowerment.

Finally, although you may be tempted, try not to mourn the loss of darkness, negativity, and violence from your personal sphere, or the realities of this planet. Mourning the loss may create energetic space for the re-entry of these energies and influences, and this is something that you wish to avoid.
