Notes
Healing Disjuncture
To heal disjuncture, re-establish alignment between the Spiritual Ego and Bodily Ego by establishing Right Though, Right Action, and Right Environment

Disjuncture is a Lightning Path concept that refers to the disconnect between your Spiritual Ego and your Bodily Ego. If you think of your spiritual ego as a bright, eternal light, and your bodily ego as the ego of your physical body, disjuncture occurs when the two are “out of alignment” and, as a consequence, Disconnected. When your spiritual ego and bodily ego are out of alignment, communication and energy flow between your spiritual ego and bodily ego are interrupted.

Disjuncture arises when there is a disconnect between what Spiritual ego wants its Physical Unit to think/do, and what the Physical Unit is actually thinking and doing.

Disjuncture and the disconnection which results can be quite painful. Guilt, shame, hopelessness, and despair may build up in a physical unit experiencing even minor disjuncture. The only way to end disjuncture is to pursue perfect alignment between the spiritual ego and bodily ego.

There is evidence that humans experience disjuncture when engaged in wrong action, for example, eating meat.

You find the concept of disjuncture in the world's literature.

Tolstoy discusses disjuncture as a "contradiction between our life and our christian conscience." His Chapter V provides an extended discussion of the painful disjuncture as caused by lack of Alignment.. See the Discussion page for more. "Our whole life is in flat contradiction with all we know, and with all we regard as necessary and right. This contradiction runs through everything, in economic life, in political life, and in international life.

One can be disconnected but not in a state of disjuncture. An individual can follow an Alignment Rule Set to maintain a semblance of Alignment.

A root, disjuncture is caused by Wrong Throught seeded by the Ideological Deceptions which are a part of the Toxic Socialization required for System Maintainence.

Many forms of disjuncture may impact the physical unit. There may be behavioral disjuncture (i.e. a disjuncture between how Consciousness wants the body to behave, and how the body actually behaves), cognitive disjuncture (i.e. a disjuncture between how Consciousness want the body to think and how the body actually things), and even emotional disjuncture. There more disjuncture there is the more likely a Dark Night becomes.

Disjuncture causes the Highest Self to use Steering Emotions (like guilt and shame) and other forms of communication in an attempt to steer the Physical Unit in a more aligned direction.
In severe cases of disjuncture, guilt, shame, and anxiety may give way to anguish even mental and emotional collapse (i.e. a so-called Dark Night of the Soul, and even suicide. When an individual is in the depth of disjuncture, suicide prevention hinges on head on acceptance of the disjuncture, non-judgmental support of awareness, and expert guidance designed to reduce disjuncture and encourage alignment.

The correct healing response to disjuncture is always to improve Alignment and work towards strong Connection. See the LP Alignment Rule Set for initial guidance.

Chronic disjuncture and repression lead to Pathology. Chronic disjuncture leads to stunted physical, psychological, and emotional development (since energy otherwise necessary for development and health is turned towards activating and maintaining repression and other Defense Mechanisms) and, in serious long-term cases, neurosis, psychosis, disease, and even death. It is thus in the best interests of the physical unit to identify disjuncture and deal with it directly itself into alignment with its own Highest Self.

Maslow felt there were psychological costs to disjuncture: "But there is also another element in conscience, or, if you like, another kind of conscience, which we all have either weakly or strongly. And this is the “intrinsic conscience.” This is based upon the un conscious and preconscious perception of our own nature, of our own destiny, or our own capacities, of our own “call” in life. It insists that we be true to our inner nature and that we do not deny it out of weakness or for advantage or for any other reason. He who belies his talent, the born painter who sells stockings instead, the intelligent man who lives a stupid life, the man who sees the truth and keeps his mouth shut, the coward who gives up his manliness, all these people perceive in a deep way that they have done wrong to themselves and despise themselves for it. Out of this self-punishment may come only neurosis, but there may equally well come renewed cour age, righteous indignation, increased self-respect, because of thereafter doing the right thing; in a word, growth and im improvement can come through pain and conflict."

Maslow: "It seems quite clear that personality problems may sometimes be loud protests against the crushing of one’s psychological bones, of one’s true inner nature. What is sick then is not to protest while this crime is being committed."

Maslow has some comments on the psychological utility of shame: What healthy people do feel guilty about (or ashamed, anxious, sad, or regretful) are (I) improvable shortcomings, e.g., laziness, thoughtlessness, loss of temper, hurting others; (2) stubborn remnants of psychological ill health, e.g., prejudice, jealousy, envy; (3) habits, which, though relatively independent of character structure, may yet be very strong, or (4) shortcomings of the species or of the culture or of the group with which they have identified. The general formula seems to be that healthy people will feel bad about discrepancies between what is and what might very well be or ought to be...."
Visualize that energy flowing into your body where it cascades through your neural network in warm and scintillating colours. As it progresses through your body, understand it is enhancing your ability to visualize and create. Also visualize this energy blasting out into the world around you as it become a canvas for your positive and uplifting creations.

Notes
The western Tarot is often presented as a tool that can help the "fool" successfully navigate life's lessons. For example, Rachel Pollack says "Today, we see the Tarot as a kind of path, a way to personal growth through understanding of ourselves and life. To some the Tarot's origin remains a vital question; for others it only matters that meanings have accrued to the cards over the years."

The Tarot was designed by Freemasons throughout the 18th and 19th centuries to serve an elite agenda (Sosteric, 2014; Decker, Depaulis, & Dummett, 1996). Freemasons obscured the elite ideology and agenda by successfully presenting their work as reflective of ancient spiritual wisdom. The presentation of the Tarot as something other than a reflection of elite ideas about management and control prompted Decker, Depaulis & Dummett (1996) to suggest that the Masonic Tarot was the...

<blockquote>...most successful propaganda campaign ever launched: not by a very long way the most important, but the most completely successful. An entire false history, and false interpretation, of the Tarot pack was concocted by the occultists; and it is all but universally believed.</blockquote>

The ideological function of the tarot system is obscured by efforts to present the cards as "sacred" in some way. This original effort was conducted by Freemasons who attempted to link the tarot archetypes o ancient Egyptian wisdom. In modern times, it is innocently perpetuated by tarot aficionados. One popular tarot website informs us that the “seventy-eight Tarot cards, the archetype cards, teach us “what we need to learn and master to live an inspired life.”</blockquote>

There are two parts of a Masonic Tarot deck, the Major Arcana or "trump" cards, and the minor arcana. The twenty-two major arcana are Archetypes. Taken together the twenty-two Masonic archetypes form an Old Energy Creation Template.

Many commentators try to read in progressive spiritual and political elements, where none exist. We call this an attempt to "recover" authenticity. For example, "The Tarot, however, is a path of liberation. The fear that Jahweh expresses, that human beings 'will become like us' , is precisely the Tarot's purpose - to fully bring out the divine spark in us and unite it with our conscious selves, to end the duality of God and human and make them one. Therefore, though it keeps much of the same symbolism as Genesis, the Rider pack Lovers subtly reverses the meaning."

The Western Tarot deck is a relatively complete reflection of the Western Creation Template. The Western Tarot is a recollection of twenty-two major "arcana" (really archetypes) and fifty-six minor elaborations on those archetypes.

The ideology of the tarot, the tarot archetypes, occupy a contested space. Even though most authors adopt and retransmit Masonic tropes, there is modification as authors attempt to bring psychological, emotional, or spiritual authenticity to the system. You can find examples of this under the "Recovery" heading in the tarot card entries (see below).

The Triumph of Spirit Archetype System (TOSAS) provides a complete break with masonic, old energy archetypes.

The Archetypes
The Masonic Tarot contains the following twenty-two Old Energy Archetypes.

The Masonic teachings contain two components, a Book of Power component and a Book of Slavery component. The Book of Power comprises the esoteric teachings, taught in private and kept largely secret, while the Book of Slavery comprises the exoteric teachings, which are spread widely in order to control the thinking of the masses.

Technically, an activation experience is a brief increase of CQ resulting from a temporary removal of Bodily Ego defences, either spontaneously, by engaging in Connection Practice, or using Connection Supplements. An activation experience leads to a significant enhancement in one's sense of power and self-efficacy.

Michael Harner describes a unity experience, coupled with an Activation Experience of absorbing spiritual power in the form of the energies of the horse and bison, he had, while isolated alone in a cave.

"Then, as I was sitting there, an immense indescribable power rushed toward me from the same direction that the herds had come. But this time, there was no sound, no warning. It swept overwhelmingly through my body like a freight train. A surge of immense energy filled my body. I was astonished. The power had come! Then the animal was gone.

As it bounded soundlessly away through the darkness beyond the recesses of the cave, it called back to me: “I am XXX, XXX, XXX!” It said, “I am one and all. You and I are one.” Then there was only silence.

I felt indescribable awe and gratitude."
Notes
Healing Moments can be sudden, surprising, sometimes extraordinary events (a "bed sore physically disappearing [during] Reiki healing practice," that lead to "Transformational Change}

Healing Moments are moments of "connectivity," moments of increased communication ("heightened comunication") between the healer and the client, between the healer and nature, and between the healer and a higher power.

Speaking of connection between healing and a "higher power," control figures into the HM.

<blockquote class="quotation">Control. Healing often involved a process in which practitioners relinquished control to channel a healing force; a
force which, in SW's words in the video, “may be a little like drawing energy up out of the earth… like receiving energy from the sky, the creator, the spirits.” Meanwhile, clients gained control, often through—or culminatingin—a sense of release or energetic outburst. Healers described their own relinquishing of control in order to heal others. They needed to open themselves up to an energy or higher force."
</blockquote>

Future research: Rathz et. al. note questions of duration (how long does an HM last), questions of typology, and questions of transiency versus permanency (do HMs last), and the fleshing out of crucial elements in order to develop a psychometric scale of healing moments.

Bodily Consciousness, capital "S" Self Consciousness, Capital "G" God Consciousness

each one of these has several levels.

Notes
Consciousness originally exists as in Undifferentiated Consciousness (UC) and ego-less state. Boredom causes an Intensification of Consciousness that results in the instantiation of Monadic Consciousness] (i.e., egoic consciousness). The instantiation of the original monadic spark (a.k.a. God represents the transition from UC to Differentiated Consciousness (DC). From there, Consciousness eventually transitions to Emanating Consciousness from which all of physical creation eventually emerges.

In popular usage, the term is typically used to refer to either Bodily Ego, Spiritual Ego (if theorized), or some undifferentiated combination of both.

At one time suggesting such a thing as Spiritual Ego would have been quite radical, now there is growing speculation that a non-naturalistic view of consciousness, i.e. consciousness is not tied to the material universe, is simply common sense.

<blockquote class="quotation">From a common-sense perspective, we are intimately aware of consciousness, and it is a truism that consciousness has a variety of properties (among them qualia, intentionality, and non-spatiality) that are so different from those of matter that it is difficult if not impossible to see how consciousness could ever have been produced by matter. The problems that arise here are formidable, and have given rise to what has recently become popularized as 'the hard problem' of explaining the existence of consciousness in a material universe. These problems have led some thinkers, like McGinn, to insist that we cannot explain the existence of consciousness in a material universe at all, and others, like Chalmers, to suggest that we need to revise our notion of matter to include consciousness as a fundamental property of nature, along with mass, charge, and gravitation.</blockquote>

Chalmers suggests that an essential feature of Consciousness is a sense of a cognitive agent (i.e. Ego), and also that there is a felt feeling of experience."There is also an internal aspect; there is something it feels like to be a cognitive agent. "I am talking only about the subjective quality of experience: what it is like to be a cognitive agent."

Conscious experiences range from vivid color sensations to experiences of the faintest background aromas; from hard-edged pains to the elusive experience of thoughts on the tip of one’s tongue; from mundane sounds and smells to the encompassing grandeur of musical experience; from the triviality of a nagging itch to the weight of a deep existential angst; from the specificity of the taste of peppermint to the generality of one’s experience of selfhood. All these have a distinct experienced quality. He summarizes, "when I talk about consciousness, I am talking only about the subjective quality of experience: what it is like to be a cognitive agent."

The Upanishads are channeled texts. "According to India’s ancient tradition of knowledge, the Upanishads were cognized by rishis, or seers. The profound truths dawned spontaneously in the silent depths of their consciousness and were recorded by them and passed down through generations, first orally and later in written form."

The Upanishads are a collection of religious and philosophical texts, written in India between c. 800 BCE and c. 500 BCE, "during a time when Indian society started to question the traditional Vedic religious order." During this period, some decided to pursue spiritual progress, living as ascetics and hermits, giving up family, and rejecting material concerns. Their speculations and philosophy were compiled into the Upanishads, which are an attempt to shift the focus of religious life from external rites and sacrifices towards Connection and Connection Practice.

For a list, see the Miktika, a collection of 108 Upanisads

The Vedas are the oldest available Sanskrit literature, they are the oldest scriptures of Hinduism, written between 8000 BCE and 500 BCE, and considered to be of divine origin, not authored by humans: “Breathed out by God or visioned by the seers.” They are called sruti (what is heard/channeled) and are more authoritative then smriti, which are commentaries on “what is remembered. “ In New Age speak, the Vedas are considered pure channelled expressions of the highest spiritual truths.

The Vedas come in four sections. The Rigveda, the Yajurveda, the Samaveda, and the Atharvaveda. Each individual collection is further classified into four major text types – the Samhitas (mantras and benedictions), the Aranyakas (text on rituals, ceremonies, sacrifices and symbolic-sacrifices), the Brahmanas (commentaries on rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices), and the Upanishads. The Upanishads are focussed on meditation, affirmation, cosmology, and Connection.

The Upanishads are part of the Vedanta (the end of the Vedas) and provide a summary of centuries of spiritual thought specifically aimed at teaching and encouraging connection with God.

"The major constituent parts of the VEdas (rooted in the specialized functions of the Vedic preists during sacrifice) were originally orally transmitted."
<blockquote>The Upanishads are a celebration of the awakening of the Self (Ātman), a state of unbounded pure being, pure bliss. They reveal the great truth of life: The Self of the individual is identical to the Self of the universe (Brahman). They sing out, “I am totality” (aham brahmāsmi). The wholeness of life, Brahman, expresses itself as every particle of creation and as every human being. This is the profound message of the Upanishads.</blockquote>

Of the 200 surviving Upanishads, fourteen are considered important. These are the Isa, Kena, Katha, Prasna, Mundaka, Mandukya, Taittiriya, Aitareya, Chandogya, Brhadaranyaka, Svetasvatara, Kausitaki, Mahanarayana and the Maitri Upanishads."
The day of judgment "is a day on which Almighty God will judge His creatures according to their actions done in this life."

Lots of passages in the Qu'ran referring, in a rather judgmental way to the day of Judgment.

Theosophy: " As described in your catechisms, we reject them absolutely; least of all would we accept their eternity. But we believe firmly in what we call the Law of Retribution, and in the absolute justice and wisdom guiding this Law, or Karma. "
"Karma, the universal law of retributive justice."

"...we consider it [karma] as the Ultimate Law of the Universe, the source, origin and fount of all other laws which exist throughout Nature. Karma is the unerring law which adjusts effect to cause, on the physical, mental and spiritual planes of being. As no cause remains without its due effect from greatest to least, from a cosmic disturbance down to the movement of your hand, and as like produces like, Karma is that unseen and unknown law which adjusts wisely, intelligently and equitably each effect to its cause, tracing the latter back to its producer. Though itself unknowable, its action is perceivable."

Consequences
People who absorb this archetype often feel like they are being punished when things go wrong in their lives, even when there are socio-political and economic reasons explaining why things are going wrong (i.e. unemployment caused by government policy). In other words, they blame themselves rather than the significant forces that impact them. See for example, this Reddit thread] where the individual experiences many bad things, blames themselves, thereby increasing anger and frustration.
Notes
The elitist Madam Blavatsky: "Real ecstasy was defined by Plotinus as "the liberation of the mind from its finite consciousness, becoming one and identified with the infinite." This is the highest condition, says Prof. Wilder, but not one of permanent duration, and it is reached only by the very very few. It is, indeed, identical with that state which is known in India as Samadhi. The latter is practised by the Yogis, who facilitate it physically by the greatest abstinence in food and drink, and mentally by an incessant endeavour to purify and elevate the mind. Meditation is silent and unuttered prayer, or, as Plato." Note her emphasis on "purification of the mind" (see Flow Purification) and also by incessant intent (i.e. prayer).

On individual reports: "Ecstasy. I had certainly experienced being intoxicated under the influence of alcohol and pot and coke and so forth, but this feeling of intoxication was just so much different. It left me feeling so peaceful, and it was very very dramatic.

Alan Watts comments on the association of ecstasy/bliss with Connection Experience.

<blockquote class="quotation">
The central core of the experience seems to be the conviction, or insight, that the immediate now, whatever its nature, is the goal and fulfillment of all living. Surrounding and flowing from this insight is an emotional ecstasy, a sense of intense relief, freedom, and lightness, and often of almost unbearable love for the world...
Notes
"Tune had begun. Its great pendulum, whose beats are the ages, commenced to vibrate. The era of creation or manifestation had at last arrived. The nekuda reshima, primal point or nucleus, appeared. From it emanated and expanded the primary substance, the illimitable phosphorescent ether, of the nature of light, formless, colorless, being neither black nor green nor red. In it, latent yet potentially as in a mighty womb, lay the myriad prototypes and numberless forms of all created things as yet indiscernible, indistinguishable. By the secret and silent action of the divine will, from this primal luminous point radiated forth the vital life-giving spark which, pervading and operating in the great, enteric ocean of forms, became the soul of the universe, the fount and origin of all mundane life and motion and terrestrial existence, and in its nature and essence and secret operation remains ineffable, incomprehensible and indefinable. It has been conceived of as the divine Logos, the Word, and called Brashith, for the same was in the beginning with God."

It is the "...central ray or point of light which was the primal manifestation of the Divine, En Soph. From it proceeded vibrations which made luminous the illimitable ether, from which was formed the universe that became the glorious temple or palace of the great Unknown."

"When the primal vibration of the divine word took place it produced and impressed a wavelike motion throughout the boundless ether in which were contained all the sounds of the alphabet from A to Th."

The Book contains justifications for hierarchy, exclusion, and social class. Refers to the bible and other sources(Liber Adami) and then writes these into the cosmology. The book also writes in binary gender ideology as well. <blockquote>"The following remarks are from an ancient occult work entitled Liber Adami, or, The Book of Adam. "When the passive light, termed in scripture 'darkness,' became blended and unified with the active light,17b there were myriads of spiritual beings or existences, part of whom were fully developed and ready for incarnation, the rest but imperfectly so. Believing that the light and darkness were antagonistic in nature and principle, there arose a division of opinion amongst them, some declaring themselves partisans of light, others its opponents and advocates of darkness. When the mediating Logos had blended light and darkness and thus symbolized the perfect unity of the divine essence, the advanced and enlightened amongst them embraced and received the fact, whilst those only partially developed remained obdurate in their ideas and opinions and thus by their contrariety and differences of thought and the contentions and quarrels that arose therefrom, Gehenna or Hell came into existence." This discord and dissension has found an entrance and reflection in the world and is distinguished by the object in view, whether it be actuated by desire for truth or motived by selfishness and a hankering and craving to rule and dominate over others. Examples and instances of these two classes of individuals are found in the history of mankind. Of the first class, were the famed teacher Hillel (nasior president of the school of Jerusalem at the beginning of the Christian era) with his colleague Schammai. Their only object was the research of truth and the advancement of the divine glory, and though their disputes were very keen and sharp, yet friendship and good will always existed between them. Of the second class, an example has just been given in the case of Korah and his party in their contention with Aaron for supremacy, which resulted in their destruction and descent into Hell, the limbo and native place of dissension and discord.

"We can now discern the reason why God made the firmament and separated the waters that were above from the waters that were beneath, that is, he caused a clear distinction to be made between those who, entertaining different views and opinions, were actuated by the desire for truth, and those whose object, through crass, self-willed ignorance, was the rejection of and antagonism towards it. In connection with Korah and his company,

p. 95
cut off or separated from the congregation of Israel, the same word, yabdel (separated), is used by Alhim in dividing the waters above and the waters beneath the firmament, as also by Moses when he spake: Deut. 10:8"Seemeth it to you a small thing that the God of Israel hath separated yon from the congregation," etc., and further, "the Lord separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord."</blockquote>
"The term “ein sof” itself does not carry any particular meaning. It is a negative phrase that could be replaced by any other negative one: “no beginning” or “eternal” could be used in its stead, as well as any other designation of divine infinity. Unlike the appellations of the sefirot, the ein sof is not represented by any anthropomorphic or ethical phrase."

Notes
"The Default Mode Network is called “default” because it is the default activity mode of the brain. Brain structures associated with the DMN become active when you are absent of action, i.e. absent of goal-directed behaviour—when you are doing nothing, basically. When you are doing something like solving a math problem, driving a car, making breakfast, etc., the DMN is in a quiescent state. However, when your mental states are “undirected,” the DMN fires up. The DMN shows “persistent brain activity that is as vigorous as that when individuals solve externally administered math problems”

"Recent research suggests that the DMN is that part of the brain associated with what Freud would have called your Ego and what I would call, for reasons that become clear in my paper The Science of Ascension, your Bodily Ego. The DMN includes the medial prefrontal regions (MPFC) which are associated with self-referential processing (i.e. thinking about yourself). The DMN shows activity when one takes a first-person centered perspective and when one is alert and self-aware. More generally, the DMN is a set of specific brain regions involved in “self-cognition”, idiographic memory, speculation about the future, explorative inner thought, and metacognitive activities such as self-reflection."
