Formation, what physicists might call inertia, is the primary shaper of physical creation. Formation is what modifies, shapes, and controls force so that force can actually get things done without blowing up and otherwise destroying creation. </blockquote>
Notes
Formation may be contrasted with Force.

Formation is applied to Creation through the application of Will/Intent and Expectation.

Force + Formation = Creation

The concept of force in creation is ancient. Notably, the Egyptian God Ptah, patron god of stonemasons(!), is the anthropomorphization of the process if "in-form" ation. "The production of a building or statue involves a process of 'in-formation,' in which a concept originally present only in the artisan's mind in-forms--is imprinted in--raw material through his actions. A block of stone that has been cared into a statue...is materially the same after the process...yet is had also transcended its original raw state: it is now something that it was not before, the representation (tjt 'image') of another reality. What has made the difference between the original and the final state is the action that has in-formed it with the sculptor's concept." (Allen, 1988: 46).

Edward Carpenter seems vaguely aware of the force+formation=creation equation.Speaking of the idea of Justice, "though it may be but a sentiment at first and on its inner side, yet quickly on its outer side it gives itself structure, and regulates the conflicting desires and emotions and needs of the people; and these emotions and desires so regulated from above do each of them in their turn generate and regulate groups of habits and customs; and these again each in their turn innumerable individual acts. And so the idea of Justice becomes creative and alive throughout the whole State.</blockquote>

At one point, Carpenter even refers to the "formative forces...which manifest themselves in the race life."

Oswald Wirth associated the Masonic Empress card with form, ideas, and archetypes, i.e. "...ideal forms or pure ideas according to which everything is created." As he notes, "This sovereign, dazzling with light represents 'Creative INtelligence', the mother of form, pictures, and ideas."

For LP purposes, we break ARMs down into two general categories, External ARMs and Internal ARMs. External ARMs are defense mechanisms aimed at reducing awareness of things external to the individual, like the behaviour of others, conditions at work, bullying by students/teachers, etc. Internal ARMs are defense mechanisms aimed at reducing awareness of things internal to the individual, like disjunctive shame and guilt, or awareness of complicity, etc.

An individual may deploy several ARMs at the same time.
Note, this is not the "hero's journey." Neither are you a Fool in School. An Alignment Rule Set (ARS) is a collection of rules and guidelines designed to help a Physical Unit achieve and maintain alignment with Highest Self, despite "as yet" being in a state of disconnection. The Lightning Path Alignment Rule Set (LPARS) specifies Right Action, Right Environment, and Right Thought as critical foundations for the aligned existence necessary if one is to achieve strong and persistent Connection.
Notes
Many ARSs exist. The Christian Ten Commandments, the Buddhist Eight Fold Path, and LP admonishments to Right Action, Right Thought, and Right Environment are all alignment rule sets.

The New Testament Colossians contains some alignment guidance. Colossians 4: 18- seems a patriarchal, classist, and sexist ad on uncharacteristic of Christ's egalitarian and antiauthoritarian perspective.

The Qur'an has its own alignment rules sets, what it calls a "covenant." E.g., "Worship none but Allah. treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity." (Qur,an 2: 83-84).
A Nadir Experience is a negatively felt Connection Experience. ==Notes==

Independently conceptualized, but Abraham Maslow mentions nadir experiences in the book "Religions, Values, and Peak Experiences" and Thorne mentions them all the way back in 1963.

Thorne
Discussed and defined in Thorne. "A nadir experience may be described operationally as a subjective experiencing of what is subjectively recognized to be one of the lowest points of life, one of the worst, most unpleasant and harrowing experiences of life. Operationally, nadir experience reports consist of answers given by subjects in completing the item: "The worst experience of my life was when " Or, the subject can be asked: "What was the worst time you ever had in your life?"

As Thorne notes, during nadir experiences, “The Self feels thwarted, blocked, frustrated or traumatized in some respect. Nadir experience reports usually involve experiences with death, illness, tragedy, loss, degradation or deflation of Self.” Nadir experiences are an important aspect of connection experiences that are often inappropriately dismissed from consideration as instances of pathology and not actual connection. Failure to include nadir experiences leads to caricatured and two-dimension understandings of connection, understandings which totally miss factors, like childhood abuse and trauma, or ideological/archetypal filters, which can contribute to traumatizing nadir experiences, and distort or undermine connection experiences.

Shamans, as represented by Michael Harner, describe entry into a nadir experience as descent into a Lower World.

Nadir experiences can range in intensity from mild anxieties and fears through paranoia and confusion to full-blown experiences of existential despair. Profound nadir experiences are often referred to as the proverbial “dark night of the soul”.

Nadir experiences sometimes occur when naive users consumer Connection Supplements. Rave, a Winnebago, and leader of the peyote "cult" of the Winnebago, reports a nadir experience when he first consumed Peyote that consisted of being pursued by monsters. . His solution was to show respect to the substance, and ask for assistance.

Nadir experiences may occur spontaneously or may be "induced" when the Bodily Ego is intentionally suppressed through the use of Connection Supplements

Robert Mogar mentions nadir experiences Mogar notes that nadir experiences can have therapeutic value.

William James recognizes that Zenith Experiences are only "one half of mysticism." The other half can be found, according to James, in text-books on insanity with the same sense of power, visions, missions, "ineffable importance in the smallest events," but tinged with negativity, pessimism, desolations, etc.

Salzman distinguishes between progressive or regressive connection experiences. "The former is characterized by honesty, humility, tolerance, and generosity, whereas the latter is characterized by rigidity of belief, zealous proselytizing, intolerance or hatred of infidels, and propensity for aggression and martyrdom.

Nadir experiences need not have negative consequences and can, in fact, be growth experiences, but some people may be "destroyed" by the experience. This "destruction" may be fueled by low self-esteem or a damaged [Bodily Ego]]'s need to protect itself. "There are some who are psychologically destroyed by crises set off by apparently trivial events because their energies are devoted to preservation or bolstering of primitive protective devices oriented against the self. Not having dealt adaptively with earlier developmental crises (or having been overwhelmed by insuperable crises) they have insufficiently complex, flexible, or rich psychological structures and lack the capacity for dealing with the task of emergency self-revision. Psychoses, for example, represent such precarious attempts to hold incongruous adaptations together that the ego is either fragmented or in continual danger of fragmentation. Hence, minimal stimulation can produce crisis and new requirements must be rejected"

Havens conceptualizes the entry into "Cosmic Consciousness" as a process that moves through the "sudden and profound dissolving of all existing conceptual and perceptual systems..." When unprepared, or when psychopathology exists, "Such an experience can be extremely confusing and disturbing, and may be related to the intense anxiety and panic commonly associated with some acute schizophrenic episodes and bad trips with hallucinogens.

A nadir experience may occur spontaneously, particularly after long periods of chronic stress, or it can result from temporary/careless/unprepared suppression of the Bodily Ego, and through the incorrect, careless, and misinformed use of Connection Supplements.

It is important to note of nadir experiences that while many people have them, and while they do represent an outcome of authentic spiritual awakening, nadir experiences are not a necessary feature of Realization. Nadir experiences exist, but only because we are damaged by a Toxic Socialization process, and only because our societies are toxic and filled with violence, greed, poverty, pain, and anguish. Nadir experiences arise as we become aware of and confront toxicity and damage. If there is no toxicity and no damage, there is no nadir experience.

Carl Jung records the Nadir Experience of Brother Nicholas of Flue who had a connection experience wherein he was confronted with a "piercing light" that induced "fear that his heart would burst into little pieces....overcome with terror, he instantly turned his face away and fell to the ground."

Therapy
A knowledgeable practitioner capable of guiding the experience helps reestablish equilibrium and future orientation. "It is most adaptive in the long run when the resolution is partly conscious, deliberate, and delayed and a new relationship is integrated, preferably with a person whose authority or skill can redirect the outcome of the crisis.

Therapists should be trustworthy and provide safe and non-judgmental spaces to explore the roots of the crises.

Forer provides an interesting and inspiring discussion on the nature of crises and how to achieve a positive therapeutic outcome.
The Bodily Ego is your body's ego. It is the part of you that is tied to your physical body. Neurologically, the bodily ego is the Default Mode Network in your brain. and an unconscious level of instincts and reactions.

The Bodily Ego emerges as a consequence of the interaction between Consciousness and the sophisticated neuronal operations of the Default Mode Network of the physical brain.

The Bodily Ego is a key psychic structure of the Physical Unit. It emerges as a consequence of the interaction between...

* Consciousness
* The Environment
* The Physical Unit.

As Ego, the Bodily Ego consists of the four psychic elements:

* Self Consciousness,
* Perspective
* Will
* Imagination

The bodily ego is the "navigational computer" of the physical unit. It is responsible for (Sosteric, SA1)

* ensuring the survival of the physical unit (i.e. preventing accidents, defending against assault)
* fulfilling the Needs of the physical unit (food, shelter, healthy body, healthy mind)
* reconnecting with Consciousness (i.e. raising the Consciousness Quotient of the Physical Unit
* fully expressing the intent and will of the Resident Monadic Consciousness which inhabits the body

The bodily ego is often taken, especially by materialists, to be the locus of an individual's identity and the ultimate ontological source of being. "I think therefore I am," says Descartes. It is understandable how this conclusion may be drawn, especially by someone whose only experience is of Normal Consciousness, but it is erroneous. The little "i" of the bodily ego is a mere refraction of the big "I" (Spiritual Ego) that animates the physical unit.

The bodily ego has no independent existence. Without the animating embrace of Spirit, the brain may show basic autonomic functions and random cerebral activity, but there is no presence. Without the embrace of Spirit, there is no "I," and no "me." However, when Spirit embraces a living body, eyes open, identity is refracted, and Consciousness slowly emerges into the world that surrounds.

The bodily ego, which is rooted in the programmable structures and energy flows of the physical unit, automatically shapes itself in efforts to ensure survival, meet needs, and (if survival and needs are met) full reconnection. Therefore, the root of adolescent and adult pathology may often be found in the twisted shape the bodily ego takes when dealing with Toxic Socialization and toxic environments.

Pleasure is a general, but by no means exclusive, indicator of survival and needs satisfaction.

Substances which are medium or long-term destructive to the bodily ego/physical unit (for example Heroin/shopping/distance running) that provide pleasure (serotonin release) may become neurologically and psychologically confused with pleasures (eating healthy, exercising).

Healthy Ego
A healthy Physical Unit contains a healthy bodily ego. A healthy bodily ego consists of an ego with a strong sense of self, high self-esteem, realistic self-efficacy, and strong ground with reality (proper perspective), and healthy imagination. A healthy bodily ego is achieved when children are raised in a healthy, safe, loving, and supportive environments (a.k.a. Right Environment that meets all Seven Essential Needs.

A healthy bodily ego is an ego that is aligned with the Spiritual Ego thereby allowing the physical unit to contain a full measure of the animating Monad. A healthy ego allows full presence of Consciousness.

Supportive environments are those that support the realization of the full psychological, emotional, spiritual, and physical potential of the physical unit as container/vehicle of Consciousness. Unsupportive (toxic) environments are environments that undermine full potential.

A healthy society that offers a Healthy Socialization process will ensure that all children are raised in healthy, safe, and loving environments. However, under current psychological and sociological conditions we endure a Toxic Socialization process. This toxic socialization process does do not support healthy ego development.

Capitalism, because it depends on disconnected / alienated workers for exploitation, provides unsupportive, unhealthy, unsafe, and unloving environments. Capitalism is a toxic system that damages the physical unit, undermines full potential, and distorts the bodily ego in the interest of private profit and accumulation (RSGME).

The "normal" experience of a bodily ego damaged by toxic socializaton consists of low-grade neurosis accompanied by rigid belief systems, uncritical compliance with establishment norms and values, and lack of empathic Connection to Self (which includes family, community, Gaia, etc). Under those conditions where the Physical Unit is subject to continuous abuse, and/or where the physical unit experiences premature crown chakra openings, low-grade neurosis may expand into full-blown psychotic dysfunction.

Dysfunction and Pathology
The bodily ego is a sensitive manifestation of cellular consciousness and, when improperly nurtured or actively assaulted, is subject to easy damage. Damage may range from the easy to treat outcome of mild physical abuse to the severe, intractable, and sometimes fatal ego destruction that occurs when children experience chronic neglect and assault. Damage may fall into several categories. Arranged in ascending order of damage and dysfunction, these categories are:

* Mild Ego Damage
* Ego Pathology Ego Dysfunction |
* Neurosis
* Psychosis
* Schizophrenia
Notes
In addition to the hidden curriculum of gender, there is also a Social Class hidden curriculum. A different curriculum applies to members of the Working Class as does to members of the Ruling Class. For example, those from the lower classes learn the "value" of hard work, the importance of punctuality, the importance of compliance, the "honor" of deference to authority (i.e. management/officers/clergy, etc), and so on. Members of the elite learn the importance of control, the mechanisms of power, justifications for their privilege, and so on.

Hidden curriculum is taught by parents, grandparents, teachers, and other Agents of Socialization.

<strong>Note</strong>, at first glance it might appear that the upper-class curriculum does not contain the same messages of compliance and obedience as the lower class curriculum does, but it does. Indeed, more so. The higher up in the hierarchies and an individual rises, the more important it is for them to be totally compliant and unwaveringly obedient to those above.
The breaking of family attachments was a central "feature" of residential schools in Canada

<blockquote>The residential schools also broke family bonds. Daniel Nanooch remembers being separated from his siblings:

“So even though I was there with my sister and I only seen her about four times in that year and we’re in the same building in the same mission. They had a fence in the playground. Nobody was allowed near the fence. The boys played on this side, the girls played on the other side. Nobody was allowed to go to that fence there and talk to the girls through the fence or whatever, you can’t.”
Book of Power
Balance between good and evil

While explaining the meaning of the tarot archetype Justice, Papus says "Here we find the continuation of the symbolism of the 2nd and 5th arcana. The Seated woman occupies the Centre between the columns, the first idea of the equilibrium between Good and Evil."

Justice, as in, you get what you deserve.

Admonishment to work hard The ideology of work in capitalism. Find your place, work hard, and you will be rewarded.

"(Justice, the same law for everyone.) The 'Spirit Level' assures Equality before the <i>Law of the work</i>. Everything exists with the view only of performing a function. In the order of the universe everyone is bound to fulfil his task. We live in order to work, not to enjoy life without paying. Increases in salary reward the good 'workman' who by aiming at living better, benefits from the superior way of life to which he has risen."

Book of Slavery
See Papus's comments about good and evil above.

See Wirth's comments about the importance of labour.

Fool in School/Excuse and Justification: "As long as we believe that our past lives just happen, that we do not bring our own selves into existence through everything we do, then the past remains a mystery, and the future an endlessly turning wheel, empty of meaning. But when we accept that every event in our lives has helped to form our characters, and that in the future we will continue to create ourselves through our actions, then the sword of wisdom cuts through the mystery."

Judgment and Punishment: "This takes the concept of Justice beyond the Physical law and gives it the seal of Karmic evaluation as well. This shows that judgement and the law of cause and effect, better known by the name of karma, is all encompassing and all embracing. None escape its wrath, whether in this world or the next. As the last word, it is absolute."

Recovery
While speaking about fate, and everything happens for a reason, Pollock also speaks about action, taking responsibility, and guiding our own life and development through our actions.
<blockquote class="definition">There are two uses of the term Connection Pathology. On the one hand, a connection pathology is the study of emotional, psychological, sociological, and physical causes of mental and emotional illness triggered and exacerbated by an experience of Connection. On the other hand, a connection pathology is a psychological/emotional breakdown of the bodily ego caused by a Zenith Experience or a Nadir Experience of an intensity, duration, quality, or content that an individual is not prepared, or not capable (because of damage) of handling.
Wrong Thought, Wrong Action, and Wrong Environment all increase the probability of connection pathology.
Right Thought, Right Action, and Right Environment increase the odds of healthy Connection Outcome.

Archetypal cleansing involves the removal of Old Energy Archetypes and their replacement with New Energy Archetypes.

Emotional Amelioration involves identifying the source of, and releasing, negative emotions built up as a consequence Toxic Socialization.

"We assert that the divine spark in man being one and identical in its essence with the Universal Spirit, our "spiritual Self" is practically omniscient, but that it cannot manifest its knowledge owing to the impediments of matter. Now the more these impediments are removed, in other words, the more the physical body is paralyzed, as to its own independent activity and consciousness, as in deep sleep or deep trance, or, again, in illness, the more fully can the inner Self manifest on this plane."

To practice Flow Control, simply accept thoughts you want to think and reject thoughts you do not want to think.

*In general, dismiss ideas that are negative, self-defeating, judgmental. In general, reject Old Energy Archetypes.
*In general, accept ideas that are positive, life-affirming, inclusive, and uplifting. In general, accept New Energy Archetypes
*Use deep breathing, affirmation and visualization to help with flow control. For example if, during connection, you experience feelings and thoughts of unworthiness, press these thoughts and feelings away with an appropriate affirmation, something like "I am worthy, I am strong. I am worthy, I am strong."
