To do the GI, simply meditate on the following animation. To draw the most benefit, put yourself in the picture. Picture yourself as the individual in the middle. Focus on the light streaming into your skull. ALlow it to concentrate and expand first down through your body's energy system, and then out to the entire planet, activating and connecting others as you go. For best effect, repeat often.
The term Connection Practice refers to the regular and disciplined daily practice of Connection. Connection Practice includes not only the use of Connection Technique<nowiki/>s, Connection Appliance<nowiki/>s,or Connection Supplements, but also any preparatory work and study practices you engage in to expand your understanding, any healing practice you engage in to heal damage caused by Toxic Socialization, any cognitive and psychological practices you engage to remove Wrong Thought and establish Right Thought, like Flow Purification and Flow Control, and finally any Alignment work you engage in to align your Spiritual Ego with your Bodily Ego.

Elements of Connection Practice
Notes
"Chants, spells, dancing around a fire, burning candles, the smoke and smell of incense, are all means to awaken the 'deep mind'--to arouse high emotions, enforce concentration, and facilitate entry into an altered state. Again, Bonewits has said some of the most sensible words on this subject, observing that 'mandalas,' 'sigils,' 'pentacles,' and 'yantras' are all pictures to stimulate the sense of sight; 'mudras' or 'gestures' stimulate the kinesthetic sense; 'mantras' or 'incantations' [and prayers] stimulate the sense of hearing. The use of props, costumes, and scenery can also be seen as a method of stimulating the senses. In addition, drugs, alcohol, breathing exercises, and sexual techniques can serve to alter one's state of consciousness. According to Bonewits, these techniques function in the same way for a Witch or a ceremonial magician as for a Native American shaman or a Catholic priest. To say that these methods never cause psychic and psychological change ni the people involved is as absurd as other common attitudes--that certain religions have a monopoly on these experiences and that certain religions worship 'God' while others worship 'demons.' These techniques have existed for thousands of years and were developed by human beings for the purpose of widening their perceptions of reality, and changing their relationship to the world."

Mystics often use language and metaphor in a special way, in an effort to trigger enlightenment in others.
Connection Practices combined with Connection Appliances, like the TOSAS, and the careful and guided use of Connection Supplements can facilitate transformative Connection
Disjuncture is caused by when an individual engages in Wrong Thought and Wrong Action, or that lives within/creates Wrong Environments that are not in Alignment with Highest Self. ==Notes==

Healing Disjuncture
To heal disjuncture, re-establish alignment between the Spiritual Ego and Bodily Ego by establishing Right Though, Right Action, and Right Environment

Disjuncture is a Lightning Path concept that refers to the disconnect between your Spiritual Ego and your Bodily Ego. If you think of your spiritual ego as a bright, eternal light, and your bodily ego as the ego of your physical body, disjuncture occurs when the two are “out of alignment” and, as a consequence, Disconnected. When your spiritual ego and bodily ego are out of alignment, communication and energy flow between your spiritual ego and bodily ego are interrupted.

Disjuncture arises when there is a disconnect between what Spiritual ego wants its Physical Unit to think/do, and what the Physical Unit is actually thinking and doing.

Disjuncture and the disconnection which results can be quite painful. Guilt, shame, hopelessness, and despair may build up in a physical unit experiencing even minor disjuncture. The only way to end disjuncture is to pursue perfect alignment between the spiritual ego and bodily ego.

There is evidence that humans experience disjuncture when engaged in wrong action, for example, eating meat.

You find the concept of disjuncture in the world's literature.

Tolstoy discusses disjuncture as a "contradiction between our life and our christian conscience." His Chapter V provides an extended discussion of the painful disjuncture as caused by lack of Alignment.. See the Discussion page for more. "Our whole life is in flat contradiction with all we know, and with all we regard as necessary and right. This contradiction runs through everything, in economic life, in political life, and in international life.

One can be disconnected but not in a state of disjuncture. An individual can follow an Alignment Rule Set to maintain a semblance of Alignment.

A root, disjuncture is caused by Wrong Throught seeded by the Ideological Deceptions which are a part of the Toxic Socialization required for System Maintainence.

Many forms of disjuncture may impact the physical unit. There may be behavioral disjuncture (i.e. a disjuncture between how Consciousness wants the body to behave, and how the body actually behaves), cognitive disjuncture (i.e. a disjuncture between how Consciousness want the body to think and how the body actually things), and even emotional disjuncture. There more disjuncture there is the more likely a Dark Night becomes.

Disjuncture causes the Highest Self to use Steering Emotions (like guilt and shame) and other forms of communication in an attempt to steer the Physical Unit in a more aligned direction.
In severe cases of disjuncture, guilt, shame, and anxiety may give way to anguish even mental and emotional collapse (i.e. a so-called Dark Night of the Soul, and even suicide. When an individual is in the depth of disjuncture, suicide prevention hinges on head on acceptance of the disjuncture, non-judgmental support of awareness, and expert guidance designed to reduce disjuncture and encourage alignment.

The correct healing response to disjuncture is always to improve Alignment and work towards strong Connection. See the LP Alignment Rule Set for initial guidance.

Chronic disjuncture and repression lead to Pathology. Chronic disjuncture leads to stunted physical, psychological, and emotional development (since energy otherwise necessary for development and health is turned towards activating and maintaining repression and other Defense Mechanisms) and, in serious long-term cases, neurosis, psychosis, disease, and even death. It is thus in the best interests of the physical unit to identify disjuncture and deal with it directly itself into alignment with its own Highest Self.

Maslow felt there were psychological costs to disjuncture: "But there is also another element in conscience, or, if you like, another kind of conscience, which we all have either weakly or strongly. And this is the “intrinsic conscience.” This is based upon the un conscious and preconscious perception of our own nature, of our own destiny, or our own capacities, of our own “call” in life. It insists that we be true to our inner nature and that we do not deny it out of weakness or for advantage or for any other reason. He who belies his talent, the born painter who sells stockings instead, the intelligent man who lives a stupid life, the man who sees the truth and keeps his mouth shut, the coward who gives up his manliness, all these people perceive in a deep way that they have done wrong to themselves and despise themselves for it. Out of this self-punishment may come only neurosis, but there may equally well come renewed cour age, righteous indignation, increased self-respect, because of thereafter doing the right thing; in a word, growth and im improvement can come through pain and conflict."

Maslow: "It seems quite clear that personality problems may sometimes be loud protests against the crushing of one’s psychological bones, of one’s true inner nature. What is sick then is not to protest while this crime is being committed."

Maslow has some comments on the psychological utility of shame: What healthy people do feel guilty about (or ashamed, anxious, sad, or regretful) are (I) improvable shortcomings, e.g., laziness, thoughtlessness, loss of temper, hurting others; (2) stubborn remnants of psychological ill health, e.g., prejudice, jealousy, envy; (3) habits, which, though relatively independent of character structure, may yet be very strong, or (4) shortcomings of the species or of the culture or of the group with which they have identified. The general formula seems to be that healthy people will feel bad about discrepancies between what is and what might very well be or ought to be...."
The Seven Pillars of Authentic Spirituality are seven characteristics or pillars upon which all authentic [wiki]Connection Framework[/wiki]s, all spiritualities and religions, should be built. These pillars state that authentic connection frameworks should be fruitful, accessible and inclusive, grounded and embodied, responsible and non-judgmental, empowering, logical and consistent, and empirical and verifiable.

The Buddha alludes to pillar four, empowering, when he encourages his buddy Ananda to be an independent and empowered truth seeker: "'Therefore, O Ananda, be ye lamps unto yourselves. Be ye a refuge to yourselves. Betake yourselves to no external refuge. Hold fast to the truth as a lamp. Hold fast as a refuge to the truth. Look not for refuge to any one besides yourselves.

Wild Fox Koan...

Pillar One: Accessibility and Inclusivity
1 Corinthians 14 contains a stipulation that spiritual teachings should be accessible and free of EPMO.

<blockquote>Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me. 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church (1 Corinthians 14: 5-12).</blockquote>

Empirical
Marilyn Schlitz, Eugene Taylor, and Nola Lewis call for an expanded epistemology, a "radically empirical" epistemology, after William James. "A noetic sciences epistemology would focus on open inquiry and public (intersubjective) validation of knowledge, even while recognizing that these goals may be met only incompletely at any particular time. This epistemology would be "radically empirical" in the sense urged by William James: It would be phenomenological or experiential in a broad sense, including subjective experience as primary data in addition to physical-sense data. And it would address the totality of human experience -- reported phenomena would not be dismissed because they "violate known scientific laws."
Notes
The Tree of Lights that appears on the cover of The Book of Light is a visual representation of the Fabric of Consciousness and the trillions of instantiated Monads that make it up.

The Fabric of Consciousness represents the sum total of all instantiated Monads that exist as "points of Light" within the unfolding Fabric of Consciousness.

The Fabric of Consciousness represents the manifest universe as an unfolding of Consciousness.

The Cabbalistic Tree of Life is an attempt to visually represent the Unfolding of Consciousness/Unfolding/Emanation of Consciousness

The Cabbalah presents consciousness in three states, Ain, Ain Soph, and Ain Soph Aur

The concept provides for a non-hierarchical and authority free conceptualization of Spirit. The tree like structure and the expansion of monads towards the bottom represents the expansion of number as The Fabric unfolds from Source, and nothing more. Unlike Old Energy spiritualities which posit some kind of "executive force," The Fabric of Consciousness provides for an egalitarian representation of the creative forces of this universe. It is not simply that we are all equal in the eyes of God, it is that we are all the Eyes of God. We are all intensification of God Light within the cosmic tapestry/Fabric of Consciousness.

Experience of The Fabric can sometimes occur during powerful Connection Experiences. "Subjects speak of participating in and merging with pure (i.e., content-free) energy, white light; of witnessing the breakdown of macroscopic objects into vibratory patterns, visual nets, the collapse of external structure into wave. patterns, the awareness that everything is a dance of particles, sensing the smallness and fragility of our system, visions of the void, of world-ending explosions, of the cyclical nature of. creation and dissolution, etc.". Also,
"I was entering into another dimension of existence. 'I' was not. Everything was totally dissolved into a flow of matter continuously moving. No time, no space. A feeling of color, but indescribable. Feeling of movement mainly. Awareness that I, the others, are only collections of clusters of molecules, which are all part of the same stream."

Verbal affirmtions/mantras include statements such as:

* I wish to return home
* I wish to wake up
* I wish to awaken, activate, and ascend.
* I wish access to only that information that is for the highest good of all living beings.
* I wish to heal. I wish to awaken. I wish to connect

Note that some intent should always be given so that one accesses only information that is for the highest good of all living beings. There's still a lot of crapola out there.

Visual awakening mantras include chakra visualizations like The Great Invocation and awakening visualizations like the animation associated with the Water Glass Metaphor.

Note, forward movement on an authentic path of awakening does not occur without a formal signal of intent. Therefore an awakening affirmation should be considered a necessary and important part of your daily spiritual routine.

"True religion, then, is not necessarily what goes on in the name of religion. Institutionalized religion is often a mistranslation of higher truths experienced by the truly religious, the founders of various religions. Religion in its basic connotation is a means of experiencing a higher level of consciousness. Religion, therefore, may not be considered as a body of sacred truths, but rather a method or a set of practices believed to achieve a state of awareness and feelings that takes us beyond the normal states of awareness and being, and to stand in a special relationship to something considered divine."

Stanislav Grof says

<blockquote class="quotation">Authentic spiritual systems are based on ... systematic exploration of the psyche using well-defined mind-altering technologies. They are results of a process that in many ways resembles the scientific method.</blockquote>

Authentic religion is religion that "nurtures people's relationship with whatever they hold sacred."
Leo Tolstoy's The Kingdom of God is Within You provides an extended discussion of the difference between an authentic understanding of Christ's teachings, and an unaligned, hypocritical, an inauthentic reading used to justify the status quo, rather than emancipate humanity, as Christ had intended. As with Einstein, Tolstoy felt that an authentic spirituality provided a ready-made solution to humanity's ills. It "solves all the contradictions and all his sufferings."

Authentic spirituality makes a difference, not within the extended time frames of Old World Spirituality(i.e. years, decades, and lifetimes), but within short, workable, and verifiable time frames of days, weeks, and months. In other words, techniques and principles provided by an authentic spirituality will have an immediate and discernible positive impact.

Wicca and Pagan Spiritualities
Wicca and pagan religions are an attempt to develop/reclaim an authenticity lost in traditional mainstream elite exoteric religion. "The Pagan vision is one which says that neither doctrine nor dogma nor asceticism nor rule by masters is necessary for the visionary experience, and that ecstasy and freedom are both possible."

"A common phrase you hear is "I've come home," or, as one woman told me excitedly after a lecture, "I always knew I had a religion, I just never knew it had a name."
Margot Adler's discovery of wicca was the culmination of a search for authenticity, a "ecological-religious framework compatible with my own politics and commitment to the world."<ref>Adler, Margot.
Non repressive, general. "Many people said that they become Pagans because they could be themselves and act as they chose, without what they felt were medieval notions of sin and guilt." <ref>Adler, Margot.
