A Symbol Factory is an institutional Mechanism of Control that creates, revives, restores, and reproduces a Master Narrative (a.k.a. Creation Templates) support and enable the Accumulating Classes Regime of Accumulation. Symbol factories are one aspect of the the Regimes Mechanisms of Control, the other being Ideological Institutions.
