Govinda (Gōviṃda, Gopāla, Govind, Gopal)(Sanskrit: गोविंद) is name of [[Vishnu]]/[[Krishna]] and is used to reference the [[Supportive]] and [[Protective]] [[Aspects of Consciousness]]. It may be used to refer to [[Vishnu]] as an adult cowherd and protector of cows )(remembering that cows are sacred in India). It may also be used to refer to the youthful [[Krishna]] as he dances and is most happy amongst the cows of earth.
